Viral Marketing Campaign: Syke

A little sleight of hand — turning a fake product into real behavioral change

To reach a generation resistant to traditional anti-smoking messaging, this campaign took an unconventional approach: instead of warning against tobacco, it introduced a brand they could discover, engage with, and ultimately question. “Syke,” a fictional energy drink, was launched as a fully realized lifestyle brand across digital, broadcast, and live experiences, mirroring the identity-driven appeal of smoking culture.

I led the campaign from the ground up, developing the core concept, brand system, and multi-channel strategy. This included everything from product design and web experiences to interactive media, motion graphics, and commercial execution. As the narrative unfolded, the illusion revealed itself; transforming audience engagement into a deeper awareness of how identity and influence shape behavior.
